Saturday is an initiative of SQL Pass that has been running successfully since
2007. It was started as a platform for
free one day training events for SQL Server Professionals. SQL Saturday #105 Dublin is the first SQL
event of its kind to take place in Ireland and we are excited!!
Organising Committee for this event – Bob Duffy, Niall Flanagan, Carmel Gunn,
Inga Miller, Marco Blasio and Sandra Gunn – are all active in the SQL Server
Community. Both Niall and Bob are local
Microsoft MVPs and speak regularly on SQL Server in Ireland and
Internationally. We are also active as
Committee members of the SQL Server Ireland User Group, founded by Niall in
2006, organising and promoting local events and working with UK MVPs to make
high level SQL training more accessible to local audiences in Dublin, Belfast,
Cork, Galway and further afield. In the
past we have:
Brought Paul Randal & Kimberly Tripp to
Dublin to deliver their 4 Day Level 300+ SQL Immersion Course (2009 & 2010)
Run MDX & Cube Design Courses in Dublin
with Chris Webb
Run successful SQL courses with Kalen Delaney
(2007) and Kevin Kline (2007 & 2011)
Delivered the Content for the Microsoft SQL
Academy (2008 – 2010)
Run the SQL Master Class Series 2011 in
conjunction with Microsoft
Organised and Delivered the SQL 2012 Roadshow
(Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway) on behalf of Microsoft
put together some information to tell you about the event and show how your
company will benefit from sponsoring it.
Thank you for taking the time to consider sponsoring SQL Saturday #105
we hope you can join with our team of volunteers in making the Dublin event a
BIG success for everyone involved!
is a one day conference where local members of the SQL community work together
with international volunteer speakers to deliver FREE training at the highest
level to a targeted audience.
have lunch on site (you may wish to sponsor this and take advantage of a
lunchtime speaking slot, see the available sponsorship slots below)…. In addition we will have a dedicated ‘meet
and greet zone’ where Delegates, Sponsors and Speakers can mingle freely and
hard to make our event a great experience for everyone, especially our sponsors
that enable us to cover the working costs of this event. We’re expecting 150+
attendees at SQLSaturday #105 broken down as follows:
ranges from €500 to €3,000 depending on the package you select, and we’re
always willing to discuss custom solutions to meet your needs.
Please note that Payments made through PayPal to sponsor this event will be administered by Prodata on behalf of the event and your credit card statement will show the transaction as 'Prodata Business Systems'.
Gold Sponsorship - €3,000
The biggest challenge with community events is capturing contact information for follow ups. Few attendees will have business cards, and having them hand write their info often leads to a 30% or higher loss due to inability to read what they wrote! We provide attendees with a set of pre-printed raffle tickets (see below) that will contain their name and email address; they are then able to put these tickets into the raffle box at each sponsor table to try to win a prize. This gives you 100% readability and 0% loss! It is also more effective than any other technique we’ve seen for trying to capture contact information and that includes scanning their name badge.
Because we want you to be successful our Silver and Gold sponsorship levels include the requirement that you provide a prize of at least €100 in value, and that you provide a full color 8-1/2 x 11 flyers that highlights the prize(s) you are providing for the raffle.
We provide the raffle box. We will have one table for all vendors. Raffle ticket collection will proceed through the end of the day. If someone from your team is present we’ll ask them to draw the winning ticket, otherwise we’ll draw the ticket. Attendees must be present to win. If there is a physical prize we’ll give it to them, otherwise we’ll forward you their contact information for you to follow up with (for license keys, etc).
After the event we will mail you all the raffle tickets from your box. There may be duplicates; depending on how exciting your prize is attendees may contribute more than one ticket to your box – but that’s a good thing, they are willing to provide you their contact information in return for the chance to win.
We’ll open the doors to sponsors at 7:30 am. Sponsors will be provided with table and two chairs, and limited access to power (please let us know what you need in advance). Tables will be located in the same area as registration and breakfast to make it easy for attendees to stop by your table. We encourage sponsors to remain on site through at least lunch and if possible to have a representative present at the end of the day to present your prize at the end of day raffle.
Lunch will be provided to sponsors that have registered. Please have everyone from your team that will be attending register at www.sqlsaturday.com so that we can have enough food available.
We will have 18 sessions delivered over three tracks (BI,
Developer & DBA). All tracks will
feature SQL 2012 content and we will have a maximum of 80 delegates attending
any one session.
