What is SQL Saturday?
It's a free one day learning event for SQL Server professionals, loosely patterned on the well known Code Camp model.
Update: We will be devoting an entire track for the day for non SQL related topics, such as .NET, SharePoint, WPF, and more.
SQL Saturday! Pensacola 2009
When: June 6, 2009 from 9 am to 5 pm (check in begins at 8 am)
Where: Pensacola Junior College, Main Campus, 1000 College Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504. Building 21, the planetarium.
Why: It is a great opportunity to learn from people who have been there and to network with other professionals doing the same thing you are doing.
Coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, and lunch will provided. There will be numerous opportunities to earn swag of all value.
We have a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn Pensacola - Airport for a group rate of $99.00 per night. The group rate code is "SQL". They provide shuttle service to and from the airport and are located directly across the street from our venue, about two blocks up. The number to call to book your room is 850-478-1123.

We have several seasoned SQL experts lined up, such as Brad McGehee, Steve Jones, Andy Warren, Brian Knight and many great local talents, coming all the way as far as Baton Rouge, Dallas, and Tallahassee to speak at this event.
Also, anyone interested in deep sea fishing the day after, Sunday, June 7th we will be doing a "walk-on" charter fishing trip on The Chulamar out of Pensacola Beach. All are welcome, although we have to limit it to the first 30. The cost is $140 per person plus your tip to the deckhands, who do a great job cleaning and fileting your fish and just making sure you have a fantastic time out there.
