Welcome to SQLSaturday #35 - Dallas on May 22nd 2010

SQLSaturday is a free day-long training event for SQL Server professionals and those wanting to learn about SQL Server. This event will be held on May 22, 2010 at the Region 10 Education Service Center, 400 E Spring Valley Rd, Richardson, TX.  Admittance to this event is free - the only cost to you is the $10 lunch fee, which will get you a nice boxed lunch and drinks. We are providing your registration info only to the platinum sponsors. By registering you are by default opting - in  to getting an email from the platinum sponsor. If you donot want to be contacted by a sponsor, please send an email to sqlsaturday@ntssug.com and we will let the sponsor know.

The event will start at 8am and will go on till 5pm. The full version of the event guide is available here. 

The Event guide includes the Schedule for the Day. You will get a hardcopy in your attendee bag at the event.

Our event is full with over 500 registrations and completely SOLD OUT.

Microsoft SQL Azure Database is a cloud-based relational database service built on SQL Server technologies that provides a highly available, scalable, multi-tenant database service. This session will describe what SQL Azure is, show how to provision a SQL Azure database and connect to it, describe how it works, and describe why it is reliable and highly available. This session will also briefly describe and demonstrate the Codename Dallas reference data service.

We are happy to announce that we've found an affordable hotel nearby the event.  We will recommend the Courtyard by Marriott in Richardson, which is less than a mile from the Region 10 Education Service Center, where SQL Saturday will be held. 

The standard rate is $69 per night, but you can get the same room for $59 per night if you pay in advance.  We don't currently have a group rate, but if you are coming in from out of town please let us know; if we have enough reservations, we can negotiate a lower rate.
