The role of Azure SQL Database in your data strategy
Strategy and Architecture
The Azure SQL Database service now provides the same core functionality as the SQL Server 2016 database engine yet is arguably easier to deploy, manage and scale. It considers other Platform as a Service format services within Microsoft Azure that are commonly used with it to create integrated solutions. The session also gives examples of workarounds for some of the features not provided by the Azure SQL Database service.
