This session will go over what database table partitioning is and what the structures are needed to implement it. There will be some general information on partitioning strategies.

Elijah is currently the database architect for the Payformance Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida. In this position he works with multiple strategies inside of SQL server to optimize a 2 TB OLTP primary database. One of the strategies that has played a major role in helping optimize this database has been partitioning.
