SQL Saturday & Big Mountain Data Conference is all about bringing the
technology community together to discuss data and the role it will play in our
future, while focusing on more than just one technology. So, SQL Saturday
partnered with the local Utah Hadoop Users group (www.uhug.org)
and Utah Geek Events (a 501c (3) company) to create a space to learn all about

Simply put- the SQL Saturday & Big Mountain Data Conference will bring you up to date
with familiar and new solutions to keep your business growing in the
ever-changing world of technology.
We held this conference last year (2013) and had 330+ in
attendance on the same day as the largest Comic Con in the state (70k+
attendees). We fully expect this year
for the conference to bring in 500+ people to the event. We have a new location for this event at the
University of Utah that we can easily hold the 500 people comfortably. We will have top experts presenting from all
over the country talking about data and data technologies.
We separate ourselves from other SQL Saturdays out there by
providing all data technologies not just SQL Server into the event. We welcome any session talking about Data and
how to work with it. We believe the
landscape is changing and it’s not just about using one tool for the job. Sponsoring the event will put you in front of
SQL people, Oracle people, Mysql people, Developers, Devops, Data
scientists/Data Analysts and technologists of all skill levels. If you have a product/solution that speaks to
a wide range of technologies this is a great event for you.
We have an awesome location with a great first floor area for sponsors that is setup so that foot traffic for the event goes right through the sponsor area. Lunch is served right near the sponsor area as well giving maximum exposure. We are currently aiming for 500+ attendees for the event. The attendees will vary between all Data related technologies.
Big Mountain Data Conference & SQL Saturday is run by
the community for the community. In the spirit of giving, this informative
conference is free to attend. All sponsor donations will be put to good use
helping to build our local technology community. Potential recipients: Big Mountain Data Conference event, the Utah
Hadoop user group(www.uhug.org), Salt Lake City SQL group(www.slcsql.com), Utah
County SQL group (utahcounty.sqlpass.org) and any other users group that is
