We will need to turn away people who do not have a valid ticket, so we would
not recommend turning up.

business.
This is a first for PASS

Keynote Announcement: Data Culture : From BI & Analytics
to Big Data and Data Science with Jonathan Woodward, Microsoft UK’s Business Lead for BI, Analytics, Big
Data and Data Science

In this mobile-first, cloud-first era –
data is at the intersection – with apps, devices and sensors creating
tremendous volumes of data. To get value out of that data, we must be
able to reason over it, tap into processing power to quickly analyze it
and accelerate the insights, which ultimately lead to better decisions, actions
and business results. Companies that put data at the heart of their business
operations outperform those that don’t by a significant margin, which we call
releasing the ‘Data Dividend’. We will take a walk through the key
technologies from PowerBI to AzureML and IoT to show how to start driving your
Data Culture.

We
recognise that these topics are new to a lot of people and we are looking
to help a broad range of people who are interested in these topics, but
primarily use Excel every day and want to know how to use it better with
these technologies and business analytics in mind. We encourage
speaker submissions that discuss the above topics and
technologies, business analytics as well as business intelligence, in the
areas and technologies devised above.
