As part of Microsoft's U-SQL Language and Compiler team, I work on several features to make writing huge computing jobs and pipelines on the cloud more and more manageable. My whole post-grad and work years have been in the BigData field. Before joining Microsoft, I obtained my master's degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, which was centered around large-scale data analytics and integration. During my master's, I went on internships, the most recent of which was with Google Shopping, where I worked on product review summarization. I am originally from Alexandria, Egypt, where I grew up and got my bachelor's. My main hobbies are travel, reading and learning and trying new things.
