Sponsorship Information Packet

We appreciate you taking time to consider sponsoring SQLSaturday Orange County 2019.  This will be our 10th year holding a SQLSaturday in Orange County and want show you how your company will benefit from sponsoring.

Event Overview

SQLSaturday is a one-day database technology conference attended by hundreds of Data Technology Professionals from all over the Southland and beyond. The conference utilizes expert speakers from all over the country, has lunch on site, and a dedicated area set up by the refreshments for our Sponsor Showcase. We work hard to make our event a great experience for everyone:  Attendes, Speakers and especially our sponsors who make covering the working costs of this free to attend event possible.

We are expecting 400+ attendees in 2019 for our 10th SQLSaturday in Orange County.  These attendees are the professionally driven and motivated individuals from our community who give up a Saturday to advance their skillset and bring valuable information back to their workplaces.  This is your opportunity to get in front of these dedicated professionals and get your company’s product or services into their hands.

We like to keep our Sponsor Showcase area from being really crowded in order to allow flow and browsing thus enabling more people to visit with sponsors.  Therefore, we limited how many sponsors we can accept in the space allocated.  Most of our sponsors know the value of sponsoring or event and come back year after year.  If you are new to our event and have questions, please be sure and ask soon before our sponsorship slots are all taken.

The Raffle – Your Key to Success!

The biggest challenge with community events is capturing contact information for follow ups. Few attendees will have business cards and having them hand write their info often leads to a 30% or higher loss due to inability to read what they wrote! We provide attendees with a set of pre-printed raffle tickets (see below) that will contain their name and email address; they are then able to put these tickets into the raffle box at each sponsor table to try to win a prize. This gives you 100% readability and 0% loss! It is also more effective than any other technique we’ve seen for trying to capture contact information and that includes scanning their name badge.

Raffle Ticket

We ask our sponsors to provide a raffle prize of at least $100 in value.  We also recommend that and that you clearly market the prize(s) you are providing for the raffle both at the event and in advance of the event

We will provide the raffle box. There will be a table for all absentee vendors placed in the same areas with our onsite vendors. Raffle ticket collection will proceed through the end of the day. If someone from your team is present at the end of the day, we’ll ask them to draw the winning ticket, otherwise we’ll draw the ticket on your behalf.  Attendees must be present to win. If there is a physical prize, we’ll give it to them, otherwise we’ll forward you their contact information for you to follow up with (for license keys, etc).

For Bronze level sponsor we will mail you all the raffle tickets from your box after the event.

Event Logistics

We’ll be onsite setting up by 7:00 AM and encourage you to be fully set up before 8:00 as we regularly have 100+ attendees on site by 8:00.  Remember, the first session is at 8:30.  Sponsors will be provided with table and two chairs and limited access to 110v power.  Tables will be located in the same area as registration and breakfast to make it easy for attendees to stop by your table. We encourage sponsors to remain on site through at least lunch and if possible, to have a representative present at the end of the day to present your prize at the end of day raffle.

Lunch will be provided to sponsors that have registered. Please have everyone from your team that will be attending register at www.sqlsaturday.com so that we can have enough food available.
