Welcome Back to Cork!
SQL Saturday Cork is back! Last year was the first time the Irish SQL Saturday event had been run outside Dublin and we have decided in consultation with the Dublin User Group to run the event again in 2019.
On June 29th, SQL Saturday Cork will be hosted in the Western Gateway building of University College Cork. This building is home to the University Computer Science department and Ignition program and has state of the art facilities for presenters and attendees alike. We are planning on a four track event, so there will be plenty of excellent sessions for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
For those who don't know, Cork is located in the South of Ireland with excellent rail and airport connectivity and a motorway directly linking Dublin to Cork. If you are coming here for the day, why not consider staying for the weekend. Check out a few articles written about us.
We have blocked booked accommodation in the University Campus Accommodation located beside the venue. Rooms are excellent value at €44 euro a night - or €50 with a continental breakfast. To book these email firstname.lastname@example.org. We only have a limited number of rooms allocated on a first come first served basis. If you want to stay elsewhere there is a range of options on Western Road. The three nearest hotels are
· The Kingsley (http://www.thekingsley.ie/ )
· River Lee Hotel (https://www.doylecollection.com/hotels/the-river-lee-hotel )
· Hayfield Manor (https://www.hayfieldmanor.ie/ )
As well as B&B and AirBnb. https://www.booking.com or usual sites will give you plenty of options. Search by Ucc Cork, or Western Road Cork.
Saturday Post Conference: We have reserved the bar in Cork County Cricket Club in the Mardyke. This is a few minutes’ walk from the conference venue. Join us for a BBQ and another couple of drinks on us.
Please note this event has an Anti-Harrassment Policy.
