SQL Saturday runs over 2 days (14 - 15 June 2019). Day 1 has the choice of two paid PreCon events, whereas Day 2 is the free Community Event. Details are below:

In this one day workshop, you will learn Power BI modeling and data preparation from beginner to advance. You will learn how to use Power BI for simple data analysis situations as well as complex business intelligence scenarios. You will learn about using Power Query and the formula language (M) for data preparation and transformation. You will also learn about relationships, and modeling in Power BI, and DAX which is the calculation engine for Power BI.
This course is full of live demos of real-world challenges of data modeling and how to solve it using Power BI. Modules include, but not limited to:
- Module 1: Data preparation using Power Query
- Module 2: Advanced Data transformations
- Module 3: M: Power Query formula language
- Module 4: Data Modelling in Power BI, Everything you need to know about Relationships
- Module 5: DAX and Calculations in Power BI

Note that as we are a small not-for-profit incorporated association, we are not GST registered and therefore do not issue Tax Receipts for these registrations. We can provide a non-GST receipt on request.
The main event on Saturday, 15 June will be held again at Northcote Town Hall.

Public Transport to Northcote Town Hall Northcote Town Hall is located at 189 High Street, Northcote, VIC 3070 Free parking is limited around Northcote Town Hall, so we encourage using public transport to get to the event.
- By train:
- Northcote Town Hall is a short walk from Merri or Northcote Stations on the South Morang line or from Westgarth Station on the Hurstbridge line.
- By tram:
- 86 tram between the Waterfront City, Docklands and Bundoora RMIT will take you directly to the venue, get off at stop 31.
For those travelling to Melbourne for the event, you will need to purchase a Myki Card for use on all public transport. Details can be found on the PTV website.
