Lee Mendoza, Ph.D. is a healthcare and technology professional with 30 years experience. As an educator and a researcher, he has taught a wide array of allied health courses. He is also a professional software developer, and has developed software for healthcare practice management, electronic billing, and educational experience tracking. He is currently the director of Health Informatics in the Office of Public Health. His bureau prepares the State's Health Report Card, created and maintains the State's Health Data Portal, performs surveillance of the opioid and drug crisis in Louisiana, and produces a wide range of health data products and health data tools for the Department and the public.
