For Sponsors

For Sponsors

Each SQLSaturday is Unique. While all SQLSaturdays are PASS-branded events and follow the same overall structure, every SQLSaturday is unique. SQLSaturdays are organized by local volunteers, and every organizing team has a different way of doing things. As a sponsor, it's important for you to communicate your expectations with each event's organizing team to make it a great experience for all of you. Explore the Frequently Asked Questions for Sponsors below.

Do you have any other questions? E-mail the PASS Community Team.

What is a PASS SQLSaturday?

PASS SQLSaturday is a one-day free training event for a technical audience interested in the Microsoft Data Platform and SQL Server. The event is usually held on a Saturday because many IT professionals have difficulty taking time off from work for training, however they may held on other days based on the local context.

The event format takes on a mini conference style, usually with two or more tracks comprised of four to six sessions of about one hour in duration. The number of tracks, sessions, duration and speakers vary from event to event. Sessions are conducted by members of the community, sharing news, tips, tricks, and techniques.

What is a Sponsorship Plan?

All SQLSaturdays have a sponsorship plan outlining sponsor levels and their benefits. This is the contract between you and the organizing team. Make sure to read through all the details before signing up as a sponsor.

What is a SQLSaturday Raffle?

The Raffle is Your Key to Success! The biggest challenge with community events is capturing contact information for follow-ups. Few attendees will have business cards, and having them hand write their info often leads to a 30% or higher loss due to inability to read what they wrote! SQLSaturdays provide attendees with a set of pre-printed raffle tickets. Attendees are then able to put these tickets into the raffle box at each sponsor table to try to win a prize. This gives you 100% readability and 0% loss! It is also more effective than any other technique we have seen for trying to capture contact information and that includes scanning their name badge.

How do I exhibit at a SQLSaturday?

Higher sponsorship levels usually come with the benefit of exhibiting at SQLSaturdays. This is your chance to meet and talk to local attendees, show off your products, and get new leads.

When registering as a sponsor, make sure you check the “Exhibit at the event” option. The event organizers will ensure that there is space for you to have a table at the event.

If you have any specific requirements, please reach out to the event organizers directly.

Do I need a PASS Account to be a SQLSaturday sponsor?

To sign up as a SQLSaturday sponsor, you must first create a PASS Account. All communications from SQLSaturday organizers will be sent to this account.
